Loading GIMP to a Mac

There’s a couple of slight differences you have to take into account when loading GIMP to a Mac … there’s another program you have to make sure is on the computer… and other technical stuff… so if you’re game, I found a great article from one of my favorite Art Blogs: Empty Easel.  Just follow the link and read the directions and you’ll be transforming your art in no time.

GIMP is an open source alternative to Photoshop that is available for both PCs and Macs. In today’s article, I’m going to explain how to install GIMP on a Mac—as you’ll see, it’s a little bit more complex than installing GIMP on a PC.

1. Before you download GIMP you’ll need to make sure your Mac is running a special program called X11. If have your original installation disk, insert it, click on the “Optional Installs” folder and skip down to step #3. READ THE REST HERE>>
